September Board Meeting was held on September 7 at ConradTokyo.

Attendants:  David Spence, Victor Osumi, Frank Kagiyama, Takeshi Oku and Kayoko Inoue.

  1. Membership Matters

New Members: Mr. Paul Christie, Walk Japan KK

Mr. Neil McInnes, Hilton Tokyo Bay

Transfer Out: Mr. Kavin Bloomer (Hong Kong)

  1. SKAL Tokyo website was completely renewed. (www.skaltokyo.com)

Members are recommended to check it. On the first page, we will put the banner AD. The price for one month will be 10,000 Yen for the first year as the promotional price. The size will be 600px x 100px. If you are interested in putting your company’s AD, please advise to the board members.

 

Members only area includes the membership directory, please use the password: skaltokyo and check the detail of your information. If you agree to add your face photo, please send it to Kayoko Inoue (KInoue@USTravel.org) by JPEG file.

Other information which needs to be changed, please advice to Kayoko Inoue with the correct information.

 

  1. Invitation from SKAL Fiji and SKAL Prague

As per attached, the invitation to the event “Friends Across the Pacific” was sent from SKAL International Suva , Fiji.  Event date will be November 14, 2015.

 

SKAL International Prague will celebrate its 20th anniversary and the events will be held from 19-21 November 2015. The detailed information is also attached.

 

Please refer to the attached documents and join the event if you are interested.

 

  1. SKAL Tokyo events from October to December

The meeting for the rest of the year will be held as follows.

October 5: Royal Park Hotel Shiodome

November 2: International House (Roppongi)

December 7: Christmas Party at Peninsula Tokyo

 

As for Christmas Party on December 7, Monday, at Peninsula Tokyo, we would like to have volunteers for Christmas Committee. It will be chaired by Mr. Victor Osumi, and the board members will join it. Additional volunteers will be Ms. Kazuko Abe and Mr. Fabien Clerc.

Volunteers will be welcome, please advise to Kayoko Inoue.

 

  1. National Congress in March 2016

SKAL National Congress in 2016 will he hosted by Tokyo Club. We ask any kind of advise about the venue and the events.

It will be the first Sunday night in March 2016.

Last two times, it was held in Hakone (Hakone Prince Hotel) and Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.

 

  1. New board member

Mr. Kavin Bloomer will move to Hong Kong in the end of September. We appreciate his hard job as the director. Mr. Clifford Olson, Ishin Hotel Group, recommended and accepted to be the board member after Mr. Bloomer.
